If you are in Sycamore, Illinois, with nothing to do, especially if you are in the 800 block of Somonauk Street Sycamore undoubtedly see Chauncey Ellwood House and Esther Mae Nesbitt House, you can walk to the south’ Walk until you click the Block 400′ 420 is an impressive Somonauk David Syme House’ It is a Queen Anne style house, which is part of a group known as the “Painted Ladies” (wiki, but not as good)’

David Syme House was designed by architect George O’ Garnsey, who has designed several other local dignitaries, as well as buildings in other communities in Illinois (more than two subjects in other articles by me)’ Garnsey was a Chicago architect who helped design many of the buildings after the great fire in Chicago and what is thehead of the Illinois State Capitol’

Syme The house is two circular towers at the houses of the town of Queen Anne’ Syme The House also has a roof hippo (wiki), with cross gables (wiki), a feature available in approximately 50 percent of Queen Anne style houses’

David Syme came to Sycamore in 1868 and home to 420 one Somonauk costs about $ 8000 to 1880′ Syme served as president of the local bank, and the mayor and president of the Sycamore School Board’

Sycamore, Illinois, is a town of 15,000 inhabitants, located in DeKalb County, which is the county seat’ Sycamore was settled in 1835, mainly north of the Kishwaukee River’

Sycamore worth the visit for any student of architecture, history enthusiast, or a photo-journalist’ The National Register of Historic Places is an excellent combination of the two feilds worth watching is the connisuers specialty’
